Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney met artist William Mulhall recently for a portrait sitting.

Mulhall said, 'Seamus is a Northern Man like me and there is a common experience'.

Mulhall has achieved International status with his series of portraits from Life of Bob Dylan at 60. By coincidence, Heaney and Dylan once shared a concert stage in Moscow where they performed together.

The finished portrait hangs in the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
